Questions
- What is a hosted PBX?
- A hosted PBX is a business phone system that runs in the provider’s network instead of on a box in your office. IPComms runs the auto attendant, ring groups, queues, voicemail and call routing on our US East and West points of presence; you plug in desk phones or use a softphone.
- How much does hosted PBX cost?
- {P.pbxBase} a month with {P.pbxIncl} extensions included and {P.extMo} a month per additional extension, plus per-minute calling at {P.outMin} outbound and {P.inMin} inbound in the US and Canada, {P.localMo} a month per phone number ({P.setup} setup) and {P.e911Mo} a month per number for E911. No contract.
- Does hosted PBX include an auto attendant?
- Yes. Every account includes a multi-level auto attendant (IVR) with recorded or text-to-speech greetings, menu options to extensions, ring groups, queues, voicemail or an outside number, business-hours schedules and a company directory.
- Can I use my mobile phone with hosted PBX?
- Yes. Use the browser softphone in the portal on iOS Safari or Android Chrome, or any SIP softphone app such as Zoiper or Linphone with your extension credentials. Each extension can also forward to a mobile number.
- Which desk phones work?
- Any standard SIP phone. Yealink, Cisco MPP, Polycom VVX and Grandstream models are in daily use on the platform; extensions register over TLS with SRTP where the phone supports it.
- Can I keep my numbers?
- Yes. Port them in at {P.portFee} per number, volume discounts for 100 or more. Each number is routed to an extension, ring group, queue, auto attendant or voicemail in the portal.
