Questions

What is SIP trunking?
SIP trunking connects your PBX (Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX and others) or SBC to the public phone network over the internet, replacing analog lines and PRI circuits. Your equipment stays; the carrier changes. IPComms trunks carry TLS signaling, SRTP media and STIR/SHAKEN-signed calls at A attestation.
How much does SIP trunking cost?
IPComms SIP trunking is $0.010 per minute for outbound calls to the US and Canada and $0.009 per minute for inbound calls to local numbers, with $0 per-channel fees, no contracts and no monthly minimums. Local numbers are $1.50 a month and toll-free numbers $2.00 a month.
Does IPComms work with my PBX?
Yes. Any standard SIP PBX or SBC: Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX, FreeSWITCH, FusionPBX, Cisco CUBE and CUCM, Avaya, Yeastar, Issabel, Kamailio, plus Microsoft Teams through Direct Routing and the contact-center platforms under their BYOC models. Configuration notes are published for each.
How long does it take to set up SIP trunking?
Self-service signup provisions a trunk immediately: sign up, point your PBX at the trunk host with the credentials or an IP allow-list, and place calls. No paperwork and no circuit installation. Porting existing numbers runs in parallel.
Can I keep my existing phone numbers?
Yes. Numbers port in from any carrier at $5.00 per number, free when you bring 100 or more. Local ports typically complete in 7–14 business days and toll-free in 5–10; the old carrier keeps carrying each number until its port date.
