Network status

We do not publish an automated status feed. This page explains how the network is built, what to expect during maintenance or an incident, and how to report a problem.

How the network is built

Two points of presence

US East and US West. Carriers deliver inbound calls to both, and either one can carry your outbound calls.

Failover

If one point of presence cannot reach your PBX, the call is delivered from the other. Allow both through your firewall.

Encrypted on both legs

TLS on 5061 with SRTP toward your equipment; our carrier legs are encrypted too.

Monitored around the clock

Signaling, media quality and carrier reachability are watched continuously and alert our engineers.

Planned maintenance

The standard window is Sundays 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM Eastern. Maintenance that could affect calls is announced by email at least 48 hours in advance, and most work is non-disruptive. Emergency maintenance may happen with shorter notice when it prevents a service degradation.

Incidents

When a service-affecting incident occurs, we email the technical and primary contacts on affected accounts, and again when it is resolved. Keep those contacts current in the portal under Users, where each user's notification role can be set. Service credits for qualifying outages are described in the SLA.

Report a problem

Include your account number, the numbers involved and the time of the call. Per-call SIP traces are available in the portal under Call Records. More on support.
