Assigning additional DID's

To enter an additional DID(s) you should go to the VoIP Provdiers and select the DID tab. Next enter your DID then Add then Apply. Adding additional DID's will automatically create an inbound rule for those numbers. From there you can cutomize the destination where the DID will ring during office hours, and off.

After assigning the additional DID's, a route will need to be created within the Source ID Tab. To begin enter:

Next we will enter our second DID, this is done by creating entering the information inside the Source ID tab. To begin enter:

  • SIP Field: From: User Part
  • Variable: Custom Field (Enter DID)

After entering the above information select Add/Update then Apply

Next Check the Source identification by DID, and in the drop down box select Request Line URI: User Part then select the additional DID to be assigned.

 

Formatting the Outbound Caller ID

Having the ability to change the outbound DID for the trunk is a an essential feature for companies who want to maintain a specific DID for all calls. This will allow extensions to make outgoing calls and show the Main Caller ID even when they are calling from an extension, or away from the office.

Changing the outgoing DID is done by geoing through the VoIP Providers list and selecting your Provider. After selecting the Provider go to the Outbound Parameters tab and enter:

  • SIP Field: From: User Part
  • Variable: Custom Field (Enter DID inside Custom Value)

After entering the above information select Add/Update then Apply
