Configuring Sipnetic for IPComms

Open Sipnetic

Launch the app and tap Settings (gear icon) then SIP Accounts

Add New Account

Tap the + button to add a new SIP account

Enter IPComms Settings

Save and Connect

Tap Save. The account should show as registered (green status).

Enable Push Notifications

Push notifications allow Sipnetic to receive incoming calls even when the app is closed, saving battery while staying reachable.

Go to Settings > SIP Accounts > [Your Account]

Scroll to Push Notifications and enable it

Allow all notification permissions when prompted

Note: Push notifications require IPComms to support the push proxy. Contact support@ipcomms.net if you have issues receiving calls when the app is closed.

Battery Optimization

Prevent Android from killing Sipnetic in the background:

  • Go to Android Settings > Apps > Sipnetic > Battery
  • Select "Unrestricted" or "Don't optimize"
  • On Samsung: Disable "Put app to sleep"
  • On Xiaomi: Enable "Autostart" permission

Troubleshooting

Registration Failed

Check username/password. Ensure domain is sip.ipcomms.net. Try UDP instead of TLS.

No Audio / One-Way Audio

Enable STUN server: stun.ipcomms.net. Check microphone permissions.

Calls Don't Ring When App Closed

Enable push notifications. Disable battery optimization. Check notification permissions.
